About

Hi there! I am Gunjoong Kim.

I am a Research Associate at the Mobile Embedded Systems Lab, Yonsei University, supervised by Prof. Hojung Cha. I received the M.S. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Yonsei University in February 2026, and the B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Seoul in February 2024.

Research Interests

  • Immersive Computing: System designs for next-generation immersive applications including augmented reality and volumetric media, where high-quality perception and interaction are critical.
  • Efficient On-device AI: Model-level and system-level approaches to bridge the gap between heavy AI workloads and the limited resources of mobile devices, co-optimizing algorithms and runtime systems.
